personally speaking, I agree with you about not revealing next month's swap theme until the deadline for the current one has expired.
Historically, I have been one that sends close to the deadlines-not because I am a procrastinator, but because every time I think I have time to work on a project, something comes up -usually it's an adorable 21 month old
and who can say 'no' to that? Or an invitation to a friends, or a softball game, or ... You get the picture.
That said, because I happened to have my commitment completed early this month, I admit to secretly wishing I knew the next swap theme; not so much to actually make the mug rug but to start collecting ideas. I believe that even when it is '
maker's choice', recipients taste should come into play, even if it's more about what they don't like vs what they do like. And if we don't know who we are swapping with, we don't know about their preferences. Just my two cents.
