Years ago my granny made her version of puff quilt, she put 5" squares RST , sewed 3 sides, stuffed and tucked the open end then hand stitched each block to the next. It was a full size scrappy that was happily used by the great grand kids. At the time (not knowing there was another way), I made one of my own (queen) by the time it was done it was supper heavy! If I ever do another I'll make sure 1) I go easier on the stuffing, and 2) only make a lap size!
