I need help in finding what color thread is out there that would work with the background of this small Christmas quilt that I am finally getting done 7 months late. I am planning to use a clam-shell background stencil to quilt the tree using a rich green (the same thread in the border). But don't know what thread would work for the background. The pattern is called Tropical Tree Banner and was in a magazine called Quilting for Christmas Holiday 2012. I bought the individual pattern on eBay. THANKS
