Neat looking machine. Japanese manufacturers used a JA code to show who made the machine. If the machine was made in Japan that could be the manufacturer code. I know some Singers were made in Japan. I don't know Singer history well enough to know if they had their own plant there.
I would get it. I like the case and the machine.
