I have one of those. Does the machine stitch? It seems like a well made machine. For the time period it is better than most Singer machines. Look behind the bobbin and see if gears are clogged with lint. Mine was clogged and the gears were bound up with the consistency of playdough. I had to re-time it. I think you could put that on a treadle and have zz and blind stitch as well as ss.
