Quilts R Fun - No; I didn't bring it home but I had fun playing.
My sewing/crafting room is only 12'x12' and I already have four sewing machines, two in cabinets, and a serger in there. Plus there is an empty 5-drawer Singer treadle cabinet, very plain and similar to this one, "hiding" in the basement. (Does someone want to pick it up for free?)
I simply can't bring in another cabinet or machine. Most importantly, I'm saving my mad money for when I find the perfect Singer 201 for my niece.
Joe - Your comments make my resolve waiver.
Linda - Think "road trip!" I'll meet you there and help load it up.
The cabinet had so many old bobbins in the drawers. I asked the sales clerk if I could buy two of them, but she said "No." I'll ask again when a more reasonable clerk is working. LOL
She did let me purchase the very large celluloid (I believe) tatting shuttle that was in another drawer. It is filled with thread an has one ring of a pattern that had just been started.
I have to go back to town Monday. I'm taking the "real" digital camera along and will try to get some decent photos then. It sure is a beautiful piece of artwork! Lust and Envy!
Cari-in-Oly - Thanks for the info on the Red machines. This one has a model number stating with "GO";the site I used to date it had "G-" an said 1910. Another site with "two letter prefixes" said 1934. Do you know which date would be correct?
