Starshine .....license plates cost. I have seen pictures with the plates in the boarders one on the backs even made into tote bags. The R by R (Row by Row) kits cost $$$$$. However the R by R patterns are free. I guess they are called R by R because they are horizontal and with the first person to sew 8 together and go to a participating shop one wins a prize. Also great discussion evolves about actually going into a shop purchasing only one kit, and all the patterns have copywrites. One shop owner told me it was OK to purchase additional kits however someone here posted that was a violation of the rules which I have not read. I didn't write the rules but if I owned a shop and I could sell more than one kit I would like the sale. So clear as mud right?
