Default Newbie from Missouri

Hi, I just joined a few days ago. I've been quilting only about a year, but have sewed for many years. I am a retired social worker, business owner, florist, and several other occupations. My love of crafts and creating keep pulling me back to fabric and textiles. Kids are grown and gone; its just me and Hubs here now. I also have a garden and chickens, many grandkids and a dog. Fingers aren't as nimble, and eyes aren't as sharp as I wish, so tricks and tips to help out are always appreciated. I live in rural SE Missouri, where, although the country is beautiful and the people are kind, we get the worst of both worlds: blistering heat and humidity, arctic cold, north winds, tornadoes, droughts and floods. It's a good thing I have quilting to keep me occupied when the weather isn't cooperating!
