When using two layers of batting, do they both need to have the same shrinkage allowance? And I 505 spray baste for quilting on my midarm. Would I need to spray between the two batting layers?
I guess not, that never crossed my mind or caused a problem so far. The LA that has quilted a few of my quilts doesn't do anything but layer the two battings together. When I quilt at home on my sit down machine I use Elmer's School glue to hold the top to one piece of the batting and the back to the other batting I then lightly glue the two pieces of batting together. Nothing moves or shifts.
