I have done two quilts with QAYG; they were done in panels. The first one I did was done (30 blocks) with a single block by 5 across then, then I joined the 6 panels. The technique was taken from a lady on YouTube, "QAYG-No Sashing". It was a 4 part videos. My last quilt was done in 3 panels; 2 blocks by 6 block panels. My only challenge was realizing that I had to attach each border separately and quilt it as I had done the panels. The only difference I did with the two quilts that I made was to stitch in the ditch following my pattern rather than free motion. They both turned out great and were easy enough since I didn't have the bulk of the quilt to wrestle with. I have just finished a quilt top that will be QAYG, but will be done in sections as there was not a way that I could figure how to do the in panels at the time. After I have finished the top, I now realize that I could have QAYG as it was actually done in sections and joined to create the finished pattern, LOL.
