this is apparently the blog page you mentioned where she crossed out the free pattern link and added the one to the bunny embroidery. Note what she said about the pattern requests she got from overseas (she's in Japan?), sounds like it was her own pattern and she stopped sending the pattern out.
then in looking more, on one of the pages on the way to the blog was this info apparently from her original info about the block:
"free pattern. Partially sew the triangles to the square. Then go back and finish the seams that attach triangle to triangle. Start with square and lower ..."

I thought that along the way in my travels I'd seen something about it being paper pieced but maybe that was from one of the posts here.
