I'll do my best here to explain my pictures above. The way I did this, the points are laid on the right side,right sides together, Spaced and pinned, then basted. Then sew binding on top, raw edges even. Flip up and under stitch. That's just the back thickness close to seam. Then hand stitch binding. Leave enough length to clean finish ends.
