I tested and am approving the overlay, cut and needle turn method for the leading in this quilt. I think it will work out ok. Here are a couple pictures of what I have done so far. I didn't get to work on it today like I wanted, we had to get groceries and school supplies. So we were gone.

The first picture shows the tools I am using for this process. Because some of the spaces are so small and tight a combination of glue, needle turn and small satin stitching will be required. The next two show close ups with the last being my next point of contact and how small of space I am working with.

Take a look and let me know what you think. I was not liking the black when I sewed the first couple pieces into place. Don't really know what other option I would have changed it to so I kept telling myself, "It will look different when the entire project is done. Just keep moving forward."
