Default Tote Bag

One of the sewing groups I belong to {I belong to 6} has set up a challenge. We were to pick 3 fat quarters, put them in a paper bag with our name inside and state what we wanted made with them. Then the moderator numbered the bags and we just grabbed one. We have 2 months to finish the item. The owner of the bag I picked wanted a tote or a table runner and she is a personal friend. I found this pattern in my collection and the fabric strip on a panel in my stash. It took me hours to finish this because I was determined that it would be perfect for my friend. You know the old adage"measure twice, cut once", well I measured ten times before I cut. I can honestly say I did a good job, am very proud of it. Now I have to wait till the Sept. 23rd meeting to give it to her.
