Your stitch length control knob isn't a homemade job or just a substitution. Back when your machine was given a motor your machine also received an upgrade kit to add a reverse function. I would keep it. Reverse is a nice upgrade.

I was wondering if that was a reverse! I had not seen one in person. The 66's had internal mechanisms, and others had external mechanisms. The 27, 28, 127, and 128's have the external ones. Those I have seen.
