Did you pin baste or thread baste or spray baste? Maybe a few more lines of basting or pins might help with the "foofing" that your are the only one that sees it. If you spray basted maybe taking an iron and repressing it would help. But I think it looks great. If your Grandson doesn't want it. I'd take it in a heartbeat.
