I bought just the expansion pack 2 from QIAD and have had great success with it on a few crib and lap sized quilts. I've done designs in individual squares up to a queen. Just have to make sure the bulk is supported so there is no drag on the embroidery arm. I have a Brother Duetta but there are many designs for as small as a 5x7 field.
