Go Be Gone worked!
Thank you all for your suggestions to remove the glue from parts of my machine. I finally remembered I had some 'go be gone' and that worked. I also put some on the thread that was going to go through the machine. The only thing I hadn't thought of was to wash the bobbin case and I will do that today. it is sewing well now. Thanks again.
