I make "bags" to store some of my quilts in when not in use. They are just like a big pillowcase which allows the quilt to be folded flat and it keeps the dust out of them when stored in my cupboard.
There is also what is called a "quillow" which is a pocket sewn into the outside of the back of the quilt which allows the quilt to be folded back into it. Just do a "google" on how to make a quillow.
