Maryquilts.com has "My Favorite Donation quilt" free pattern, a quick Strippie pattern, Has a 6 and 1/2 inch wide strip that calls for a focus fabric that would work well with a larger patterned fabric. The other strips are 3" and 1 and 1/2.
I have used this pattern a couple times, always comes out pretty cute. And it's quick! (I like that part too!)
