If you do purchase this machine, be careful about needles. It is often stated that this machine must use a 206x13, which is very similar to a standard needle, but not quite the same. Using a standard needle might cause damage. The 206,306,319 and maybe other machines are said to require this needle. This issue is often argued at length online. I got some of these needles for my 306, and they work perfectly. Currently these are available directly from Schmetz and also on eBay, but in limited sizes (11 and 14). Possibly another company makes them also.

I asked my OSM guy and he ordered some for me - They are "Organ Needles" by Organ Needle Co. - 10 /pack for $9 - came in sizes 12 & 14 - they are supposed to be 206x13 and are a back metal - they are a wee bit shorter in length than the regular - haven't tried them yet on the 319
