My cat loves to sit in the middle of whatever it is I'm working on. He's a lover boy and wants to be by me all day long. I finally made a huge tote bag from some ugly fabric I had and I put it on the card table next to my work table and he'll go in there and nap the entire time I'm working on a project. Cats are odd little creatures.
