If you are going into a LQS to get your flannel, you will be able to see the end of the bolt. If it says "anti pill", then it should not pill over time. If you do see it on the end of the bolt or you are ordering it on line, then you need to ask. I have found that most people who sell fabric, know what they are selling and are very happy to help.
