Miriam asked if it had the big lever in the other thread. I didn't know as I couldn't see it in the GW pics. But it sure does:

The lever to the right of the knob is the forward / reverse lever. The round knob rotates almost one turn for stitch length adjustment.

The birds nest in the original pics was found to be caused by incorrect needle installation. The needle was put in flat to the rear. Ooops. When put in correctly, flat to the right, it sews beautifully.

The case top is in great shape, but the bottom has been wet. It will need repaired and the fabric reglued. No big deal really.


Now I really need to get to the cleaning part. Any suggestions on what to clean the head with to remove the grime and mold? Also if anyone knows of an original SEWMOR manual for this machine please let me know.

All in all I'm tickled silly with my newest SEWMOR.
