Our sheriff's department accepts qullts and knitted blankets. We put them in a ziplock bag. The bags then go in each patrol car. They are given to victims of abuse, fires, etc. Something to cover up and wrap around themselves. Over 200 were given out last year. Check with your fire department and sheriff's office to see if they'd like a program like that. Our guild gives to women's shelters and teen homes. Lots of options.
