I have done cupcakes in flat bottom ice cream cones. You can ice them then let everyone choose their own topping (mixture of nuts and berries). They can eat the whole thing. You make up the batter as per usual and fill the cone up middle of the top part of the cone. You may have to scrape the bottom seam (just use your fingernail or spoon edge on the outside of the cone to level it out. If they run over no problem, looks like icing. Best thing is you don't have to use a muffin tin to keep them upright. The weight of the batter will keep from tipping over. Bake according to directions on cake mix box.
