I have saved many of these patterns and one day will try it as a foundation pieced block. They are so neat.
I've seen pictures on "Pinterest" where some have actually folded fabric (as if it were paper) and stitched them down. As you add layers of fabric the design becomes 3 dimensional because of the fabric thickness. They then framed the block without glass. They were beautiful hanging on a wall as art.
