I'm usually the one who answers math questions, lol.

I'm doing a quilt that is 84" x 84", 6" finished squares. The quilt will alternate so the first 6" square is just a square of fabric, next is a block, than a square. If half of the quilt is the 6" squares, how much fabric do I need for just the 6" squares? (the pink in the link below)


My boss is Mormon and for his family he is thinking Xmas gifts of the quilt on the bed:
