This will probably give some of you palpitations, but after many different ideas to try and get a perfect "scant" quarter inch seam, I turned my sewing machine on so the needle was at the neutral position, I then figured out what a perfect "scant quarter inch would be. Using a permanent ink pen, I drew a line from next to the needle down to the front of the machine. Now I only have to watch the line as I sew. Seams are perfect every time! I just redraw the line as it fades. (It is my machine and I can deface it to make my work easier....lol!)
