I hear your pain.
One of my LQS has a clearance pile for $5 yd, use to be $4, which was under her cost. I told her she needs to raise her price, as she puts top quality fabric in it off her bolts. That's the pile I shop first.
I thought I would bless someone in another country with a lot of fat quarters etc, it cost $24 to ship one envelope that was about 2#. No wonder fabric cost so much in other countries, besides the cost of rent, lights, heat or ac, employees etc etc.
I was looking for wide backing online and some of it was almost $30 , , , are they out of their minds???????? I just about blew a gasket. Glad to say I found what I needed for $13 a yard. This is a special quilt for my older son that is looking to buy a first home.
