MadQuilter is right. Make a list of what you are planning on using a emb machine for.
How small of a hoop would you consider to be ok? (many of the "small" sized designs now are 5" X 7"...when I bought mine they were 4" X 4" or 4" X 6")
How large of a hoop are you wanting.
Do you want one that can only be hooked up to a computer to sew a design?
Do you want one that solely uses a card reader?
I would research the different brands and their functions, print them out as well as their price. When you get your list whittled down a little try to find dealers so you can go and actually test drive them :D:D:D
