If you have an Ikea near you, they have one that clips on to your table for $10 that works great. I have a Bendable Bright Light on the front of my longarm and just love it too. It has a sticky pad that sticks to your machine and it stays very well. However, you do have to get the placement right the first time...taking off that pad to re-position it is difficult.
