Alright, I don't think my shuttle is original. It has the
"wasp waist". So that would seem to indicate backward compatible but not forward compatible.
I think that I might have the right one around here somewhere though.

According the link above, the VS1 and 127/128 have no "hemi-circular pit" and the VS2 and the 27/28 do have the pit. That's weird that they put it in then removed it.
