I've never heard of depression glass having lead in it. The only glass ware I know that has lead in it is lead crystal. Depression glass, though highly collectible now, was mass produced as free incentives for purchasing other things, not meant to be of a high quality. I've done some research on it since I have so much of it, inherited from my Aunt, in the blessing(or burden) of the house she left me. I definitely wouldn't use any old collectible glass in a microwave.
