While I like my 223, I would not call it light weight. It is closer to the weight of my 201-2 than it is to the weight of my aluminum 301A. It has a large balance wheel, and eventually I plan to try it out in a treadle base. It is the only ZZ machine among my VSM and straight stitch Juki, so I leave it set up all the time. I wouldn't want to be carrying it around much.
