The CD will have the machine embroidery designs on it, but you will need a program to be able to read and transfer them to the machine - via a usb wire or stick, or a card. If you don't have these, perhaps your local sewing shop would do it for you, or know someone who will. Most cd's include a pdf with instructions, but you have the book, so I'm not sure what you mean.
I'm wondering, do you have an embroidery machine or did you buy the book, thinking they were done by hand?
