Default Question about faux suede

I am working on a quilt for a charity auction. The pattern is from Pleasant Valley creations and is titled
"Simply Delightful Quilt Pattern".
The smaller 2 1/2" dark brown squares that go diagonally across the quilt are faux suede. They worked beautifully in the construction of the blocks. I have a large piece of the donated suede left and my question is, would you use it for the backing or part of the backing? I have washed a piece and it did not bleed, fade, or shrink.

Thanks for you help.
