Also not that there are different diameters of leather belt AND different size belt pliers. Most issues I have seen folks have is using a large sized pliers and punch on thinner belts. I have a smaller pair of pliers that do a thinner hole, never an issue. These also cut at the same time as punching, unlike the Singer brand that is a two step process.
