I shopped and shopped and researched and researched and got my Bernina a couple of years ago. I have never regretted it. Mine does have the embroidery feature as well, which I haven't used as much as I would like, but I'm still glad it's there and available to me. The little I've used it was VERY fun, and exciting. I would always highly recommend a Bernina!
