Default More than a...Passing Fancy

This pattern was from Kim Diehl's book "Simple Traditions". I chose her pattern "Passing Fancy" as I thought it was suitable for the Thimbleberries Fabric that I have a LOT of and want to use. I did make mine slightly different as hers was square and mine is rectangular, I just prefer that over squares. Also her's has a BEAUTIFUL applique border, which is out of my skill set. I started the blocks last May and finished the quilt top early in July. I waited to quilt in until September after I took a class in Free Motion Quilting. I am self taught and have been making quilts with FMQ; stippling, meanders, loops and simple flowers. I needed something to take me to the next level and the class helped tremendously. It really helped me overcome my fear of FMQ and I learned how to quilt wreaths and that is what I wanted to put on this quilt. It took about 30 hours to quilt and I am really happy with it. It's not perfect, but what quilt is? I will be keeping this one :-)
