I was thinking about using it for the bionic gear bag also. Then thought it might be too stiff/heavy.

I used it for a bionic gear bag but it wasn't the fusible. I just cut it 1/4" smaller all around and used some SF101 to sort of "tape" it to the edges. It was a lot of work using it. I think my next bionic gearbag will not have it.
