Back when those old blocks were printed, we used detergent to do laundry, so removal was usually easier. Now we have soaps full of "cleaning enzymes" so they do not clean the same. Dish soap in a dish diluted with 1/2 water, and about 1/8th cup pump hairspray and a soft baby toothbrush might be a better solution. Good luck.
