Default My #1 most wanted for years is now mine and here!! 1885 Glove sewing machine

This is a clone... Yes, a clone) made in England by James Moffat. It is a copy of the Singer 46k1.

It is such a copy, many parts are interchangeable!

I am going to start with pics that show the CORRECT way to ship a machine.

I have removed the top layer of cardboard (shown to the right rear) and exposed the core wrap. There was a layer of the black foam above the cardboard

This is the core bundle wrapped in cling wrap so that NOTHING moves

With the wrap cut off and the top layer of white foam removed, you can see the machine nestled properly in it's bed of foam. Gosh, I do love a professional...
