I bought a machine vibration pad from Janome. It works great at class where all the tables are usually the fold out ones. I try too keep the machine at the end over the table leg where it is more stable. That helps a lot too.
No luck finding a machine with auto cutter in time to take to retreat Friday but I remembered my Brother 1500 has this feature. I can take that but it is a bigger machine then I usually take traveling.
