I agree with Snooze...I think a blue jean quilt would be great. I've even seen them where they incorporate the back pockets in the quilt. You should be able to find some really inexpensive jeans at a thrift store like Goodwill or Salvation Army.
I had to make a quilt in about a week for my DD's mother in law who was going back to Germany after a brief visit here & I made the Yellow Brick Road pattern. It turned out really pretty & was easy to make.
