Cactus Stitchin

I'm usually not one to decorate for fall but when I saw this border print it called my name. After purchasing the Creative Grids 60 degree triangle ruler I was itching to give it a try. This is also the first time I dropped the feed dogs and gave it a try on the black portion of the runner. The result - well, the machine is still functioning and I didn't rip any of it out so I'm guessing it was successful. Until now I have avoided FMQ like the plaque, but since my best friend starting quilting recently and she tried FMQ on her very first project I couldn't be left behind now could I?
