My thoughts exactly. The colors you sewed together have a versatile, year round appeal. Besides, why spend time putting together colors you don't really like (assuming this quilt is for you, not someone else who adores red and green)? I can see a silver, red, tan, and white theme emerging easily for Christmas with decorations.
