I use a machine with an auto thread cutter. That stops all thread waste when paperpiecing and it saves so much time, no thread clipping at all. I usually use vellum paper for bigger piece blocks and wash away paper for small pieced blocks. I really like the leave in Stable Stuff too. When washed it turns to very thin poly, almost like batting scrim.
