I used to sew once a month with a church group where we brought our machines each time, rain or snow or good weather. I started using a high quality Rubber Maid tote with a good lid for my Bernina 440. It was bigger than my machine, but I was always carrying fabric so I put the fabric around the machine. I wheeled it to the room on a standard luggage cart. I loved the fact that it protected my machine so well from the weather, something my previous fabric tote didn't do. The wheels of the luggage cart are also much sturdier than the ones on the fabric tote.

For my Featherweight I bought a small soft sided tool box at either Lowes or Home Depot. It has a hard plastic bottom, but the top is soft. It also has lots of little zipper spots for my notions. It works for a super lightweight machine like the Featherweight, but I wouldn't want to carry a heavy machine in my hands.
