I took my FW across the country as a carry on. Security wasn't an issue although they wanted to look at it a couple of times. I made completely sure that it would fit under the seat in front of me so that I would have it under my control and watchful eyes the whole time. It meant taking less on the plane with me to be certain they wouldn't have a reason to throw it in baggage (like Bonnie Hunter's situation). I wouldn't hesitate to take it with me again anywhere. Just don't overpack it into too large of a carryon bag or it won't fit under the seat -- that's my advice. I also packed a lot of fabric and batting around it in its case (in case I was the one who dropped it!).
